Harvest Festival Weekend 2016

Join us in our tasting room this Harvest Festival Weekend as we celebrate the event that we’ve all been waiting for: HARVEST! From October 14-16, we will be hosting an open cellar, TWO winemaker dinners, international cheese and wine pairings, gourmet cheese and charcuterie platters, tasting contests, games, and more! It’s going to be an incredible weekend on which you won’t want to miss out! Here’s a breakdown of the events that we have scheduled:

Winemaker’s Table Dinner (Friday, October 14, at 6:30 pm)

Our first event to kick off the weekend will be our Winemaker’s Table Dinner, hosted and prepared by winemaker Michael Barreto. This will be an intimate gathering in our Le Vigne Room and an elegant multi-course meal will be served, paired with our specialty wines from our cellar. The meal will be of a traditional autumn fare, featuring a rare treat in Paso Robles (maybe even in the entire Central Coast): fresh truffles shaved over a traditional risotto. This unique experience only happens two or three times a year, so reserve your seat now because spots are extremely limited! La Famiglia Members: $150, Nonmembers: $175.

Open Cellar (Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, from 11:00am-4:00pm)

Venture out into our Tank Farm with us for an exciting day jam-packed with special tastings, games, and more! We will be featuring five of our estate-grown, reserve wines expertly paired with a selection of our international artisanal cheeses to taste. Indulge your taste buds even further with samplings of upcoming vintages straight from the barrel, with Winemaker Michael Barreto. He will be inviting you to identify the wine inside the mystery barrel for the chance to win a fabulous prize! Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to experience the full winemaking process – from grape to barrel to bottle – and sample the pick of the latest vintage along the way as it progresses into its final product. Finally, we will be featuring a variety of local vendors showcasing their handmade products and designs so that you can take a little piece of Paso Robles home with you! You’ll even get to keep your souvenir Le Vigne 20th Anniversary Riedel glass at the end of the day! La Famiglia Members: $15, Nonmembers: $20

Harvest Winemaker’s Dinner (Saturday, October 15, Sunset Reception at 6:15, Dinner at 7:00pm)

Join us in our Barrel Room for our special Harvest Winemaker’s Dinner on Saturday night for an elegant, multi-course meal prepared by none other than winery owner and award-winning Italian chef, Walter Filippini. The evening will begin with a special tour throughout our Domenico estate vineyard, followed by a variety of lawn games at sunset. Everyone will then adjourn to the Barrel Room for a candlelight dinner with live music. The meal will feature a variety of traditional Italian autumn dishes, beginning with Insalatina Capricciosa, a baby green salad tossed in our 2015 Le Vigne Estate Grown Arbequina Olive Oil and a white balsamic vinegar dressing, paired with our 2015 Le Vigne Paso Robles Viognier. The next dish will be Polenta Funghi Porcini e Luganega, a creamy polenta served with traditional Italian side dishes of Porcini Mushrooms and sweet pork sausage, paired with our 2013 Le Vigne Cabernet Franc. The meal will then continue with a creamy Risotto Capesante e Asparagi Freschi, a carnaroli risotto prepared with sea scallops and fresh asparagus, paired with our 2013 Le Vigne Nikiaa Bordeaux blend. The main course, Bresato di Bisonte con Le Vigne Zinfandel, will feature a bison shank braised in our own Le Vigne Zinfandel, with a side dish of chantarelles mushrooms, paired with our very special 2013 Le Vigne Acquarello Cabernet Sauvignon. Finally, a delectable dessert of Torta di Mascarpone e Castagne Glassate, or mascarpone cheesecake marinated in rum and topped with glazed chestnuts, will be served and paired with our 2015 Kiara Bella Moscato.
